Paynova chooses Basefarm
Paynova has signed a three-year contract with Basefarm for the operation of its payment platform. This means that Paynova will now move its entire payment system to Basefarm. In doing this, Basefarm will continue to grow within the banking and finance sector.
Paynova, which offers comprehensive payment services, has chosen Basefarm as its new operations supplier. The contract will run for 36 months.
“Paynova supplies its services to the e-commerce industry in real-time, 24 hours a day. With Basefarm as our operations supplier, we will be able to satisfy our stringent requirements and achieve our goal of being a market leader within operational reliability. Paynova and Basefarm will work together to promote development and consistently create the best customer value,” says Daniel Ekberger, CEO of Paynova.
Paynova has customers such as SJ, Resia and MIO. For these merchants, it is crucial to be able to ensure availability of the application. Basefarm supplies a very high-level SLA (Service Level Agreement) for mission critical applications; something that also played a key role in Paynova’s choice.
“From the very start, Basefarm has focused on customers needing help with operation of their mission critical services – with emphasis on the words mission critical. This means that our focus has always been on IT security. E-commerce solutions are growing rapidly, generating a need for secure digital payment solutions. We have the best possible operating protection for companies’ and organisations’ mission critical digital platforms and the market’s best security certification and solutions,” says Sara Murby Forste, Basefarm’s Country Manager for Sweden.
The trend among payment service providers is moving towards delegating as much responsibility for application management as possible to an external supplier, allowing companies to free up their own resources for developing new services.
“The security perspective becomes more important every day. Which is why payment service providers and banks are very careful when selecting sourcing partners. They have to be safe and secure when transferring so much responsibility to an external partner. We are a multi sourcing supplier offering secure total solutions for operations and security, which free up our customers’ resources, allowing them to focus on innovation and developing their services,” says Sara Murby Forste.
Each year, Basefarm prevents hundreds of attacks on its customers. In addition to designing the architecture for the operational platform, Basefarm operates the customer’s mission critical applications and locates physical cloud-based infrastructure at its own secure data centres in Scandinavia and the Netherlands. Basefarm works closely with a customer team in order to keep the customer informed of any security incidents in real-time and implement preventive measures to protect against future threats.
