About the client
By moving their data centers applications to the cloud at the same time as they’re rebuilding a platform for greenfield and innovation, they’re building an overall structure of the company and changing how the company is being organized. They are adopting a fundamentally different value creation model with the consequence of speeding up the product development teams by tenfold.
In order to do this, they’re using a large number of tools, both inhouse and from other vendors: A lot of the technologies or principles are made by Google, like the SRE practice, and they’re also using full DevOp scales with Scrum and small teams; doing small sprints and small innovation runs. Their technology strategy is fully based on a vision for their new business model, meaning all legacy has been left behind in order to be able to fully concentrate on best-of-breed for staying relevant with their next-generation customer.
At the same time, they’re using technologies from AWS and other partners to make sure they’re building on top of what is called a Terraform Landing Zone; an account vending machine that makes it possible for them to go from idea to production in a matter of hours.
Together with the client, we adopted a Minimum Viable Approach to building the global landing zone which allowed them to speed up the time to new operations by several months.
There’s a huge number of companies working on this in tight collaboration; all working toward the same end goal. These are companies from all over the world working together for one future.
